Hour Piece Inspired by Jesse Kanda

This piece was inspired by Jesse Kanda’s 3d animations. I tried to focus on abstracting the body to show to contrast between innocence and abrasion. The hands that form the image are pictures of my younger sisters hands. If I were exhibiting this piece, I would alter the medium and make it a moving/interactive image. The space it would occupy would be a model of a room of a house. The hands would be projected on top of the surface of the floor, walls, and furniture in order to abstract the interior of the home. I would decorate blandly, without considering color, warmth or coordination of space with furniture.  The individual hands would be interactive, using sensors (kinect) to track body movements. The hands would open, close, and move around the room depending on how you interact with the space.  I would also want to include sound, which would only activate when the sensors are triggered. The sounds would include screeching?????creaking???? I think this would work best with as a solitary experience, or only a few people at a time.
